Hubungan Pola Konsumsi Minuman Berkafein dengan Kejadian Gangguan Gastrointestinal pada Mahasiswa di Kota Jember

Latar Belakang: Pertumbuhan coffeeshop yang pesat di kota-kota pelajar Indonesia mendorong peningkatan konsumsi minuman berkafein di kalangan mahasiswa. Kafein diketahui dapat merangsang sekresi asam lambung dan melemahkan sfingter esofagus bawah sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan gastrointestinal. Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan antara pola konsumsi minuman berkafein dengan kejadian gangguan gastrointestinal pada mahasiswa di Kota Jember. Metode: Penelitian cross-sectional dengan 150 mahasiswa di Kota Jember yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data meliputi uji korelasi Spearman dan regresi logistik biner. Hasil: Mayoritas responden memiliki pola konsumsi kafein kategori sedang (89,3%) dan mengalami gangguan gastrointestinal kategori sedang (62,7%). Terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara pola konsumsi kafein dengan kejadian gangguan gastrointestinal (r = 0,434; p < 0,001). Analisis multivariat menunjukkan pola konsumsi kafein (OR = 1,139; 95% CI: 1,063–1,220) dan riwayat penyakit lambung (OR = 9,354; 95% CI: 2,821–31,022) sebagai prediktor independen yang signifikan. Simpulan: Pola konsumsi minuman berkafein berhubungan secara positif dan signifikan dengan kejadian gangguan gastrointestinal pada mahasiswa di Kota Jember. Mahasiswa dengan riwayat penyakit lambung memiliki risiko hampir sembilan kali lebih besar mengalami gangguan gastrointestinal sedang-berat.
