Abdimas: Implementasi Wara' Tasawuf dalam Mediasi Konflik Antarwarga di Perdesaan

Konflik antarwarga di wilayah perdesaan seringkali dipicu oleh persoalan sepele seperti perebutan aset bersama (tanah, jalan, air), gosip, atau persaingan ekonomi, namun dapat berkepanjangan dan merusak kerukunan sosial. Pendekatan mediasi formal atau hukum sering dianggap kaku dan tidak menyentuh akar budaya dan nilai-nilai masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat (abdimas) ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan nilai wara’ dalam tasawuf yang menekankan kehati-hatian, menghindari syubhat (hal meragukan), dan meninggalkan hal yang tidak bermanfaat sebagai paradigma dan etika baru dalam mediasi konflik perdesaan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Desa Sukamaju, Kabupaten Jember, Jawa Timur, yang sedang mengalami konflik batas lahan antarrukun tetangga. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan tahapan: (1) Pemetaan konflik dan identifikasi aktor, (2) Pelatihan nilai wara’ bagi tokoh adat dan pemuda sebagai calon mediator, (3) Fasilitasi mediasi berbasis prinsip wara’ (menghindari prasangka, ghibah, dan adu domba), dan (4) Pendampingan pascamediasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa paradigma wara’ berhasil menciptakan ruang dialog yang lebih tenang dan objektif. Para pihak yang berkonflik menunjukkan kesediaan untuk wara’ dari klaim absolut dan memilih jalan keluar yang sederhana dan adil. Kesepakatan damai berhasil dicapai dan diformalkan dalam berita acara desa. Diskusi menggarisbawahi bahwa nilai wara’ efektif meredam ego, mengurangi eskalasi emosi, dan mengembalikan fokus pada kemaslahatan bersama. Disimpulkan bahwa internalisasi etika wara’ dapat menjadi soft skill kritis bagi mediator lokal dan model resolusi konflik yang berkelanjutan berbasis kearifan spiritual Nusantara.
